Downtown Gingerbread Committee Seeks Participants

The Downtown Belleville Gingerbread Committee is accepting participants for the Second Annual Corporate/Small Business Gingerbread Competition. Here’s how it works: 16 Participants will be accepted.  $50 entry fee. Price includes a preassembled Gingerbread House on a 2’x 2’ base. You will be responsible for your own candy and decorating supplies. Sign up for one free team decorating class at Toots’ Cake and Candy Supply in Downtown Belleville. Classes will be held in October & November, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30pm. Turn in your creation before November 20th  to be eligible for the $500.00 prize for your favorite charity. Entries will win by popular vote, so the more people in your network, the better. Entries will be revealed 11/25. Winners will be announced 12/15. The houses will stay in the downtown until the end of the year….

The Education Committee’s annual Back to School Fun Fair is August 2

Help the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce Education Committee celebrate the start of a new school year at the Back to School Fun Fair! The event will take place from 5-7pm on Wednesday, August 2nd at Belleville West High School. After eight amazing years in this position, I have determined this is an excellent time in my life to pursue new adventures and indulge experiences uniquely explored in retirement. Total Resource Campaign (TRC) to Kick-off in February

The Chamber will kick off its second annual Total Resource Campaign (TRC) on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. The Campaign, “Work like a Captain, Play like a Pirate,” is a six week revenue generating effort made up of Chamber member volunteers led by the Campaign Chair, Carol Bartle. The Chamber’s goal is to raise $175,000 in sponsorship dollars and new memberships by Wednesday, March 30, 2016. Chamber members will volunteer to take part in this team effort to market sponsorships to Chamber events and publications, while also seeking new members for the Chamber. Volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in weekly lunches, take home cash prizes, trips and more – while being led by their team captain.
