This year, we will be holding the 16thannual Drive Away Hunger service project. Over the years, the response to our project hasbeen overwhelming, and we have delivered over 175,000 items to food pantries in Belleville. We know that many families and individuals are struggling this year, and the food pantries are indire need of supplies. Therefore, we are requesting your support to make this project a success. Healthcare & CSA Committee – Snack Drive for Heartlinks Grief Center

Through February, The Chamber and Healthcare & CSA Committee will be collecting snacks for the kids receiving grief counseling at Heartlinks Grief Center. We are collecting individually, wrapped snacks (i.e. chips, gold fish crackers, fruit snacks, granola bars, rice krispy treats, etc).  What is Heartlinks? Heartlinks Grief Center, a program of Family Hospice, assists grieving children, individuals, families, and groups through individual and family counseling, peer support groups, and other supportive community programs regardless of ability to pay. You can drop items off at The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce office now thru February 29, 2024.

A Letter from Belleville Dist. #118 Superintendent, Ryan Boike: Hello to everyone. In the past we, as a District, have come together in a service project called “Drive Away Hunger”. This project was created by our District Character Education Committee. The response to our efforts to “drive away hunger” in our community has been overwhelming and as a result, we have delivered over 165,000 items on school buses to our Belleville food pantries. We will hold the 2023 Drive Away Hunger service project this year. This year to make the donation bigger and better, we will continue to partner with other schools in the Belleville community.
