The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee welcomed community members and elected officials to the 2015 Government Officials BBQ on Thursday, September 24, 2015. The Ambassador Club awarded Robert ‘Chick’ Fritz Distributing their quarterly Commitment to Community Award. John Wunderlich, Ambassador Club Chairman, presented the award to Robert G. Fritz Jr., Robert ‘Chick’ Fritz Distributing, at the Ambassador Club’s monthly luncheon meeting. Started by a young Chick Fritz on July 1, 1947 in Mascoutah, Illinois, Robert ‘Chick’ Fritz Distributing has made it part of their business model to give back to the community. Following the passing of his employer, Chick purchased Schopp Distributing and was ready to open the type of distributorship he had envisioned, providing friendly, reliable service. For almost 68 years, Robert ‘Chick’ Fritz Distributing has continued to carry out their founder’s vision.
