The Ambassadors are honored to present this quarter’s award to Rose Marie Fitzgerald. Rose Marie is born and raised in the Belleville area. She currently lives in Millstadt and is truly a gem in this community. Rose Marie retired from Commerce Bank where she worked with their Senior Partners planning group trips ranging from day trips around the area to cruises and more. Breakthru Beverage Belleville is a wholesale wine and spirits distributor that serves the southern half of Illinois and is focused on the Metro East. Their main office is located in Belleville in the Belle Valley Industrial Park. Breakthru Belleville was originally started in 1933 in East St. Louis by an independent entrepreneur named Ed Pohlman. Olin Callison joined the distributorship as the General Manager in 1934 and purchased the business from Ed Pohlman’s widow in 1947. The Ambassador Club of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to honor Jack Weck with the March 2018 Commitment to Community Award. Jack Weck has been a lifelong resident of Belleville and is a dedicated member of several organizations in our community. Jack completed 50 years of employment at the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Belleville with his last position as Donor Events Advisor. Jack retired in May of 2010 and has continued to help the Oblates in his retirement years. Jack Weck received the DeMazenod Award in February 1998 which is given to lay people who show exemplary service to the ministry of the Missionary Oblate Fathers. In 2013, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital received a grant from the Missionary Oblates Sharing Fund. The purpose of the grant was to support the…
