To the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce Board and Members Dear Friends and Colleagues, It is with a mix of joy for what we have accomplished together and sadness in the knowledge that I will miss our special relationships through the Chamber that I announce my retirement as Executive Director, effective this summer of 2016.  The exact date will be determined in collaboration with the Executive Committee, to ensure the smoothest transition possible to new leadership. After eight amazing years in this position, I have determined this is an excellent time in my life to pursue new adventures and indulge experiences uniquely explored in retirement. Health Care Committee’s Emergency Hygiene Kit Drive is Huge Success

Pictured Above – Residents from Westfield Manor in Belleville helped assemble emergency hygiene kits on Monday, March 21st. The Chamber’s Healthcare Committee held its inaugural Emergency Hygiene Kit drive from February 12th to March 4th with the help of the following collection sites: Downtown Belleville YMCA, East Belleville YMCA, Junior Service Club of St. Clair County, Union United Methodist Church and the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce. The items called for included tooth brushes, tooth paste, shampoo, body wash, soap, tissues, deodorant, lotion, wipes, lip balm, etc. The Healthcare Committee is pleased to announce that, with the help of the community, enough items were donated to create over 400 Emergency Hygiene Kits. The Ambassador Club’s Commitment to Community Award is presented quarterly to a Chamber member who demonstrates commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and/or businesses in the greater Belleville area. The Ambassador Club is proud to present this quarter’s award to Blanquart Jewelers. The George Blanquart Jewelers was opened by George Blanquart in 1936. After his death, his wife Lauretta ran the store and eventually their sons, Robert and Charles Blanquart joined the business. George Blanquart’s dedication to his customers and quality merchandise is still honored today by his son, Chuck Blanquart. Since 1968, George Blanquart Jewelers has been located at 111 E.
