Chamber partners with area chambers for an Empow”her”ing event
Nearly 200 women joined The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce for the second annual EmpowHER Women’s Conference at the Gateway Center in Collinsville on June 19 along with three other area chamber’s including O’Fallon-Shiloh, Collinsville, and Troy, Maryville, St. Jacob, Marine.
One of the most important tools in the world of business is the strength of empowerment. Being empowered to take control, change and mold your life is one of the most important aspects for greater success. With the goals of EmpowHERing her for success, this conference provided attending business women with the tools, information, and support to expand their careers.
Throughout the day, three main-stage speakers and four breakout speakers filled attendees with new knowledge. Guests were treated to presentations by experts in various fields. Main stage speakers included Wendy Symer, President and Owner of WLS Consulting, spoke on Knock Out Networking (pictured above); Jeff Koziatek with Care Authenticity is a nationally recognized speaker and certified life coach, spoke on ways to find peace and productivity; and Regina Ferrell, owner of Training with Excellence, spoke on diversity and inclusion.
Breakout sessions took place throughout the day featuring four different speakers and topics that represented at least one of the participating chambers. Kelly Rompel (Pharmacist and Holistic Anxiety coach) presented on natural ways to managing stress and anxiety. Michell Stockmann and Danielle Langhauser from TechKnow Solutions spoke on branding businesses on a budget. Vertical Performance’s Lynn Clapp, Jim Holdener, and Ann Brown taught participants the way to be more proactive in turning conflict into growth. Gina Niebrugge and Debra Lassman from Office Productivity Training shared tips on how to manage and clean up your email.
