The Ambassador Club of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce honors Roy-el Catering with June 2018 Commitment to Community Award

June 21, 2018 | Commitment to Community

The Commitment to Community Award is presented quarterly to a Chamber Member who demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and/or businesses in the greater Belleville area. The Ambassadors are honored to present this quarter’s award to Roy-el Catering.

Roy-el Catering began as a small food catering service specializing in grilled and barbecued meats in 1987. Originally founded by Quentin and Sherry Nungesser, the company has grown into a thriving family business with the support of their son, Marty and daughter, Brea. Since their introduction, the catering company has become a staple to the greater Belleville area serving events big and small including weddings, birthdays and corporate events and now serving customers in their new restaurant, The Country Cafe, located at the St. Clair County Event Center in Belleville.

One way Roy-el Catering is special is through their emergency service division that provides assistance during natural disasters including tornados, earthquakes and wildfires. Once called, the emergency service division can be on site within 24 hours and can provide up to three meals per day.

Marty Nungesser of Roy-el Catering said, over the years Roy-el Catering has participated in many events around the Belleville area including fan favorites such as the Chili Cook-off and Art on the Square. As a member of the Belleville Chamber of Commerce, Roy-el Catering has worked to help the local community and provide the best service possible. They have also worked alongside other businesses to cater networking and other events including The Greater Belleville Chamber’s 2018 Annual Dinner.

One of the greatest accomplishments for Roy-el Catering is the fact that they have been family owned and operated for nearly 30 years! Roy-el also prides themselves in providing high quality, great tasting foods that are beautifully presented. Not only do their clients rave about the delicious food, but also the friendly and professional staff. Roy-el Catering has been awarded the Reader’s Choice #1 Caterer Award in the Belleville News-Democrat for the 2013, 2014 and 2017 years. The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce and our Ambassadors are proud to honor them with this quarter’s Commitment to Community Award.
