The Ambassadors are honored to present this quarter’s award to Roy-el Catering. Roy-el Catering began as a small food catering service specializing in grilled and barbecued meats in 1987. Originally founded by Quentin and Sherry Nungesser, the company has grown into a thriving family business with the support of their son, Marty and daughter, Brea. Since their introduction, the catering company has become a staple to the greater Belleville area serving events big and small including weddings, birthdays and corporate events and now serving customers in their new restaurant, The Country Cafe, located at the St. Clair County Event Center in Belleville. The Ambassador Club of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce is very pleased to honor Jack Weck with the March 2018 Commitment to Community Award. Jack Weck has been a lifelong resident of Belleville and is a dedicated member of several organizations in our community. Jack completed 50 years of employment at the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate in Belleville with his last position as Donor Events Advisor. Jack retired in May of 2010 and has continued to help the Oblates in his retirement years. Jack Weck received the DeMazenod Award in February 1998 which is given to lay people who show exemplary service to the ministry of the Missionary Oblate Fathers. In 2013, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital received a grant from the Missionary Oblates Sharing Fund. The purpose of the grant was to support the…

Ambassadors of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce honored the Belleville Fire Department with the Commitment to Community Award on June 1, 2017. The Commitment to Community Award is presented quarterly to a Chamber Member who demonstrates a commitment to improving the quality of life for residents and/or businesses in the greater Belleville area. The mission of the Belleville Fire Department is to provide fire safety, prevention education, inspection, suppression, investigation, and hazardous material mitigation for the community. Over the past several years, the Belleville Fire Department has broadened the scope of their capabilities to include a water rescue venue, technical rescue, a fire investigation unit and hazardous materials mitigation.
